FOOTBALL LICENCES FOR MINORS
Does your child train with the team all week, only to be left out on Saturday because the Federation will not grant a licence?
Part of the season has already gone by. Your child is discouraged, watching friends make progress while being left behind. And you no longer know what to do.
What can we do for you?
At Himnus we are lawyers specializing exclusively in football. We help secure your child’s football licence from the Federation.
And if we accept your case but fail to obtain it, we will refund your money.
We will send you a proposal within 24 hours.
Your child trains as hard as anyone, but cannot play
Your child trains with the team all week, but when the weekend comes, has to watch from the stands.
When your child asks why, you have no answer.
Because no one can explain it to you either: neither the club nor the Federation. All they say is that “something is missing from FIFA”.
And without a licence, your child cannot play. Every passing week means another missed match.
Why your child has not been granted a licence
If your child was born outside Spain or was previously registered with another football association, the registration must go through FIFA.
As a general rule, international transfers of minors are prohibited, but there are exceptions.
The challenge is identifying the right exception and proving that it applies with the correct documentation
It is not your fault. Usually, one of the following has gone wrong:
- The club is unfamiliar with the international procedure, as it is not something many clubs deal with regularly.
- The wrong exception has been invoked.
- Documents are missing or some are invalid.
- No one follows up, and the application stalls.
Even if your child’s application has already been rejected, all is not lost. There are still solutions.
How we help, depending on your situation
You have not yet applied for the licence.
We prepare the complete application, coordinate with the club and follow the process before the RFEF and FIFA until the licence is issued. You do not need to do anything else.
The application is pending, but no decision has been issued.
We review what has been submitted and whether anything can be corrected before a decision is made.
Your child’s licence has been refused.
We examine the decision and choose the fastest route: a new application to FIFA or an appeal before the Spanish Sports Council (CSD).
Frequent Answered Questions
Can my child play while the application is being processed?
No. Football associations do not allow it until the licence has been granted. That is why it is important to start as soon as possible.
How long does the process take?
The federation process can take two to three months if all the documentation is correct from the start. In our most recent appeals before the CSD, we have been obtaining decisions in less than one month.
Our child’s licence has already been refused. What should we do?
The first step is to examine the reasons for the refusal. We then determine whether it is quicker to submit a new application or appeal before the Spanish Sports Council.
How much do your services cost?
Our fees depend on the specific circumstances of each case. Contact us today and we will send you a fixed-fee proposal within 24 hours.
